'Bel Ami' Trailer: Robert Pattinson Drops Trou, Picks Up Women (Video)
The star of the "Twilight" series seduces Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci in the first domestic clip from his upcoming film.
Robert Pattinson fans eager to see what the actor does after the Twilight saga wraps up this year with Breaking Dawn – Part 2 got their first glimpse at his next project when Magnolia debuted a trailer Tuesday for Bel Ami.

Directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, the film is based on Guy de Maupassant’s novel of the same name, and also stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci. Pattinson plays George Duroy, a “penniless” soldier who seduces his way through French high society. In addition to Pattinson’s methodical wooing of his three leading ladies, the clip highlights the character’s conflicted morality, despite the actor’s insistence in interviews that Duroy is “completely amoral.” (It also shows him without a shirt, which certainly should sell a few more tickets.)
Bel Ami is the second of two high-profile projects that Pattinson lined up post-Twilight, after taking a major role in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis. Watch the clip below:
