'The Double' Trailer Reveals a Big Twist (Video)
Richard Gere, Topher Grace, and Martin Sheen star in the Hyde Park/Imagenation spy thriller.
The new trailer for the spy thriller The Double shows more than the audience probably needs to see.
The Hyde Park/Imagenation film is about a retired CIA operative (Richard Gere) who returns to work when it is discovered that an assassin that goes by the name of Cassius has returned to killing. He’s paired with a young FBI agent (Topher Grace) to hunt down the elusive killer.
This will be the directorial debut for Michael Brandt, who wrote the screenplay with his writing partner Derek Haas. The duo also wrote Wanted and 3:10 to Yuma.
Martin Sheen, Stephen Moyer, Stana Katic and Odette Yustman also appear in the thriller, which will have a limited release on September 23.
However, Derek Haas told fans that the trailer isn't actually giving away a twist. "For the record, that trailer didn't give away the twist of the movie, it gave away the conceit of the movie," he wrote on Twitter.
