'Fireflies in the Garden' Trailer: Ryan Reynolds and Julia Roberts Star in Long-Awaited Family Drama (Video)
The feature, written and directed by Dennis Lee, opens in U.S. theaters Oct. 14.
After a release date for the Julia Roberts-Ryan Reynolds feature Fireflies in the Garden was announced, a trailer has officially been released.
Fireflies in the Garden has been on the shelf for several years, having premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2008. The film was caught up in the financial struggles of production company Senator Entertainment that began after the Sundance Film Festival in 2009.
Written and directed by Dennis Lee, Fireflies revolves around three generations of one family. Willem Dafoe and Roberts play a married couple, with strained relationships with their son (Reynolds), sister-in-law (Emily Watson) and other family members. A terrible accident happens on the way to the family reunion.
Fireflies, which has already been released in other territories, was shot in Texas. The film will open in U.S. theaters on Oct. 14.
