'3,2,1...Frankie Go Boom' Trailer: Charlie Hunnam Hunts Down Sex Tape, Ron Perlman Dons Drag (Video)
Jordan Roberts' comedy brings two "Sons of Anarchy" stars into a whole new universe.
The new trailer for 3,2,1...Frankie Go Boom promises a wild ride involving sex tapes, drowning pigs and an unhealthy rivalry between brothers.
Jordan Roberts' offbeat romantic comedy stars Sons of Anarchy lead Charlie Hunnam as Frankie, who spent his childhood being pranked by brother Bruce (Chris O'Dowd).
STORY: Cannes 2012: Red Sea Media Nabs Sales Rights to Charlie Hunnam's 'Frankie Goes Boom'
Now an adult, Frankie has an unsuccessful one-night stand with Lassie (Lizzy Caplan), a heartbroken young women. The entire act is caught on film by Bruce. The two brothers then embark on a zany journey to stop the tape from hitting the internet and wreaking havoc in their lives.
The great cast is rounded out by Chris Noth, Nora Dunn and Hunnam’s Sons of Anarchy co-star Ron Perlman. However, fans of Perlman from the FX drama will see the actor in an entirely new light – and set of clothing. The Hellboy actor plays a post-op transsexual, who goes by the name Phyllis.
Case in point: the very last moments of the trailer show Hunnam’s character kissing the not-so-dainty hand of Perlman’s character. That’s pretty much the complete opposite of the world their characters live in on FX’s gritty biker drama.
3,2,1...Frankie Go Boom, which premiered at the South by Southwest festival in March, will be released on iTunes on September 10, 2012, and will have a limited theatrical run beginning on October 12, 2012.
