Millennium Films Grabs Chris Baldi's 'Guys Night' Screenplay
The company plans to start filming the project about middle-aged men trapped in relationships, in spring of 2012.
Millennium Films has acquired Chris Baldi's comedy screenplay Guys Night. The company plans to start filming in the spring.
The story follows four middle-aged guys trapped in mediocre relationships, jobs and lives who hear about an island off the coast of New Jersey where they can indulge their desperate desires for women and booze. When they head off in search of it, everything goes very wrong.
Jim Valdez and Matt Bass are producing. Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Mike Goldberg and Josh Adler are executive producers.
Repped by CAA and New Wave Entertainment, Baldi also has What Would Kenny Do? set up at Columbia and Scavengers in development at Fox.
Among Millennium's forthcoming projects are Playing the Field, with Gerard Butler and Catherine Zeta-Jones starring; the Lee Daniels-directed Paperboy, starring Matthew McConaughey and Nicole Kidman; and Expendables 2, with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren returning the franchise.
