'Journey 2' Trailer: Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens and Dwayne Johnson Discover a 'Mysterious Island' (Video)
The Walden Media/New Line feature is out in theaters Feb. 10, 2012.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the sequel to 2008's Journey to the Center of the Earth remake hits theaters early next year, and if the trailer is any indication, tropic settings are always recipes for crazy adventures.
Josh Hutcherson, gearing up for his time in the spotlight in the forthcoming Lionsgate adaptation of The Hunger Games (out in theaters March 2012), is back as Sean for the second 3D venture with Vanessa Hudgens' Kailani tagging along. They've also got The Rock (er, Dwayne Johnson) on their side.

Their task? To follow a mysterious radio signal that points to the Mysterious Island, the same one that author Jules Verne wrote about. Of course, it's revealed that some of them has an invested interest in finding this place. They find themselves in the middle of a thunderstorm and before they know it, are on the island (with big bumblebees that people are able to ride) in question.

"Let me warn you, this island is full of dark jungles and terrifying creatures," warns Michael Caine, who plays Hutcherson's grandfather in the film. But of course. There's action, a hint of maybe-romance and many looks of awe, but the best part may be the comedic turn displayed by Johnson, who teaches young Hutcherson about the "peck pop of love."
Walden Media and New Line's Journey 2, directed by Brad Peyton, is out in theaters Feb. 10, 2012.
