Leah Remini Signs with APA (Exclusive)
The actress is best known for her work in "The King of Queens" and will star in ABC's upcoming comedy "Family Tools."
Actress and producer Leah Remini has signed with APA in all areas.
Remini is best known for starring opposite Kevin James in the long-running CBS comedy The King of Queens and will star opposite J.K. Simmons in ABC’s mid-season sitcom Family Tools. Queens remains a giant syndication hit and airs nationally off-network and in 33 countries.
Remini also recently served as co-host for The Talk during its 2010-2011 season.
“Jim Gosnell and I speak an East Coast, no BS, heartfelt language that, at this point my life and career, means everything to me,” said Remini about joining the firm. “I guess you could say I admire the ‘human’ factor, which I feel is very much missing in our industry these days.”
Remini has been appearing on TV since the 1980s, earning a regular role on Who’s the Boss and playing Carla’s daughter on Cheers. Among her other TV and film credits are NYPD Blue, Friends and the DreamWorks comedy Old School.
Her first foray into production came when she served as co-producer for the Inside Out: Wedding and Baby Specials for VH1, which became one of the most successful specials on the network to date.
Remini was previously at Talent Works.
