'Now Is Good' Trailer: Jeremy Irvine, Dakota Fanning Engage in a Terminal Teen Romance (Video)
Two young stars come together in the UK-based drama.
Two things stick out about Dakota Fanning in the trailer for her latest film: she's speaking with a British accent, and she's supposed to be dying.
The 18-year-old American actress makes the rare across-the-pond vocal leap for the upcoming Now Is Good, a drama written and directed by Ol Parker. Fanning stars as Tessa Scott, a girl dying of leukemia who decides to forgo painful treatment and seize her last days, crossing off as many adventures off her bucket list as she can manage.

Along for the ride is War Horse star Jeremy Irvine, who plays a local hunk who takes up a romance with Tessa, going along with her seize-the-day attitude in the face of her own mortality. An adaptation of Jenny Downham's novel Before I Die, the film follows in the footsteps of a number of big screen romances propelled and ultimately limited by cancer.
Last year's Restless, directed by Gus Van Sant, featured Mia Wasikowska as the ill adventurer and Henry Hopper as her unlikely beau. Adam Shankman's 2002 adaptation of A Walk to Remember featured Mandy Moore and Shane West in the same scenario.
The success of War Horse has propelled Irvine to a number of big upcoming roles; he'll feature as Pip in Mike Newell's Great Expectations with Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter, and play a young Colin Firth in The Railway Man. As for Fanning, she'll star in the upcoming Twilight Saga finale, Breaking Dawn Part 2, as well as the Polsky brothers' Motel Life with Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff.
