Hathaway has the offer to star in the untitled romantic comedy written by "30 Rock" writer-producer Kay Cannon.
Peter Sollett is negotiating to direct an untitled romantic comedy at Lionsgate written by Kay Cannon. Anne Hathaway has an offer to star as a career woman looking to break her streak of losing romantic relationships to her job.
Hathaway, who is currently shooting The Dark Knight Rises for Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros., is one of the most sought-after actresses working today. She has not committed to take the role, nor are there negotiations yet taking place, but she is available once Dark Knight wraps.
Sollett, who is repped by WME and Oasis Media Group, most recently directed Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. He also wrote and directed Raising Victor Vargas in 2002.
Repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Cannon has been a writer-producer for the NBC series 30 Rock, and she recently wrote the Universal feature comedy Pitch Perfect, which has Anna Kendrick attached to star, Jason Moore directing and Elizabeth Banks producing.
Repped by CAA and Management 360, Hathaway most recently starred in One Day, Rio, Love and Other Drugs and Alice in Wonderland.
