Take a Look at the 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' International Poster
A grim Daniel Craig and naked Rooney Mara hunt evil.
"Evil will be hunted by evil."
That's the basic translation of the tagline on this French poster for Columbia's adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It's a little strong, since the main characters are pretty sympathetic (the villains are certainly deserving). But the look and feel of the image are dead on what the recently stolen trailer (now pulled down) describes as "the feel bad movie of Christmas."
Daniel Craig is glaring grimly while taking an appropriately protective/hostile stance toward Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander. She, of course, is naked in the shot, indicating both her fluid, aggressive sexuality and her ultimate strength and self-reliance even when most vulnerable.
A lot of people are itching to see what David Fincher has done with this wonderfully miserable little story, but we all have to wait until December.
The poster was first seen on /Film.
