WHY HE MATTERS

Oscar-winning Matthew McConaughey‘s formal wear was much more than “all right, all right, all right” — he wore tuxes with a twist, be they printed, metallic, velvet or white.

FASHION BIO

The Brit lived and worked in London for 13 years — his first fashion job was interning at Dazed & Confused magazine, eventually becoming fashion director of Russian Vogue. He moved to L.A. three years ago.

HIS TOP LOOK

“The gold Saint Laurent tuxedo,” says Robins, referring to the Dallas Buyers Club actor’s look (No. 47) at the Palm Springs Film Festival in January (the pair’s first time working on a red carpet event). “As soon as he put it on, bam, it looked amazing,” said Robins. “It was the right balance of jazzy without being too much; he carried it off perfectly.”

Kudos to Simon. McConaughey (especially his look at the Globes) and Michael B Jordan were the best dressed guys this award season. And chuckle at the Puffy love.
