WHY THEY MATTER
Their looks appear effortless, yet the small details are thoughtfully put together — for example, Chris Pine‘s custom color-matched bow tie at the Golden Globes.

The sisters, who hail from North Dakota, started styling Sheryl Crow and Ellen DeGeneres in 2001. The duo, who now work out of an office in Venice, Calif., like to keep their approach low-key: “Our style is California casual-meets-menswear prep with a little bohemian,” says Wendi.
THEIR TOP LOOK
Pine in a sharply tailored Ermenegildo Zegna Couture tuxedo (No. 45) at the Golden Globes — the custom bow tie was commissioned at the very last minute. Another glam slam was Banks’ effortless evening separates — a cashmere sequin knit top and embellished feather skirt from Jenny Packham’s fall 2014 collection (No. 46) — for this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar bash.
The sisters, who name Paul Newman as their men’s icon, dressed Tatum for the Oscars in a Gucci peak-lapel tux. “It’s about small details — the bow tie, cuff links, evening watch,” says Nicole. Adds Wendi, “Then it’s about the perfect fit.”
