Piracy Hot List: 'Fast Five' Debuts As No. 4 Most-Downloaded Movie

Universal Pictures

Fast Five, the fifth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, was not only tops at the box office this past weekend with more than a $80 million domestic gross, it also burned up the piracy charts.

The film starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker and distributed by Universal Pictures was the fourth most downloaded film off of BitTorrent this past week, according to a collection of data. The film has only been out a few days, so it's a good bet to be in the top spot soon. Meanwhile, two other big budget films still in theaters have been hotly trafficked items online. Telesync copies of Rio and Source Code have been circulating for weeks since their theatrical release.

Here's a look at the top 10 most pirated films this past week:

  1. Kill the Irishman
  2. I Am Number Four
  3. The Way Back
  4. Fast Five
  5. The Hit List
  6. Rio
  7. Insidious
  8. No Strings Attached
  9. TRON: Legacy
  10. Source Code
