Canne Video: Film Critic Todd McCarthy Recalls a Special Cannes Screening of 'Pulp Fiction'
Todd points out that there was a special screening of Quentin Tarantino's drama one night before it was played on the premiere night. "There was a secret screening the night before at the Olympias cinemas in the back street of Cannes," says McCarthy. "We could barely believe what we were seeing. It was just so fantastic."
The film went on to win the festival's Palme d'Or, followed by the Oscar for Best Writing in 1995. This year's Cannes Film Festival is set to screen the movie on closing night.
