The Cast and Crew of 'Middle of Nowhere'

Writer/director Ava DuVernay and the cast of her drama Middle of Nowhere stopped by our TIFF lounge to talk about their new film. "It's a self determined picture and I think that is really important when talking about films made for by and about woman. Particularly black woman, black people, it's seen as outsider culture to what Hollywood the bread and butter of Hollywood is so in that you are either going to waiting for permission for the dominant culture to say yes you may make that film or you are going to go do your own thing" added Ava.
