Sarah Barnett of the Sundance Channel and director Ray McKinnon reveal what drew them to their new TV series. On playing his character, Aden Young said: "I play Daniel Holden who is the man that was released from death row after 19 years and he has been greatly affected by his time there. Solitary confinement 23 hours a day and five stays of execution and it was an intriguing character and as Ray said, he was inspired to tell the story of the character. His first day, his first reaction and the series follows the days after his release."
