Two of the small-screen's most prolific producers are teaming at Fox.
Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon and Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim are readying a CIA drama for the network.
The project, titled Classified, has landed at Fox with a sizable put-pilot commitment. The potential series is set in the high-stakes world of the CIA and is described as a character-driven drama focusing on the dedicated attorneys who represent the agency. It revolves around a fearless woman trying to navigate her way to the top while putting out fires professionally and personally.
Guggenheim will pen the script and exec produce alongside Gordon and his 20th Century Fox Television-based Teakwood Lane production company.
Classified is Gordon's third sale this development season, all of them at Fox. The network also has Nightfall from Sheldon Turner as well as a medical drama from Jason Horwitch.
Guggenheim, who has an open deal with Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow producers Warner Bros. Television, is also writing the high-profile reboot of True Lies — with James Cameron exec producing — for Fox. The comic book scribe maintains a full plate on the small screen with both DC Comics TV shows for The CW as well as Netflix's animated Trollhunters.
