Former One Tree Hill stars James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti have found a home for a crowd-funded comedy they created.

The pair also star in Everyone Is Doing Great, playing former stars of a hit vampire TV series who are now struggling through their post-fame lives. Lafferty and Colletti conceived the show together and shot a pilot back in 2018, which they then took to several festivals including the ATX Television Festival, SeriesFest and Catalyst.

They also launched a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo to finance a full season of the series. Hulu acquired domestic distribution rights to the eight-episode season, which premieres Jan. 13.

"Distribution through Hulu was always our dream scenario, and we couldn't be more grateful for the show's opportunity to reach their audience," said Lafferty and Colletti in a statement. "A massive thank you to all the supporters of EDG that helped us climb the crowdfunding mountain, and to the incredibly talented, hard-working cast, crew, producers, family and friends that have gotten us through the various stages of this journey. We feel the road taken to get here is emblematic of the story EDG tells, one that's rooted in love, friendship and finding humor in the struggle to figure it all out."

Alexandra Park (The Royals), Cariba Heine (Designated Survivor) and Karissa Lee Staples (SWAT) also star. Lafferty and Colletti wrote and produced the series, with Lafferty also directing seven of the eight episodes and Colletti the other.

Executive producers are Ian and Eshom Nelms, Michelle Lang, Rocque Trem and Johnny Derango, with Ngoc Nguyen producing. Park and Stuart Lafferty are co-producers. Endeavor Content handled U.S. and international sales of the show.
