The first showdown of the Survivor season is already upon us.

In an exclusive clip from the premiere of Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, debuting Wednesday, two members of the middle tribe — the Healers, aka Soko, wearing yellow — find themselves in the middle of a conflict: probation officer Joe Mena and urologist Mike Zahalsky.

In the scene, Joe and Mike speak in a private corner of the jungle, with the probation officer confronting the bespectacled doctor on the subject of hidden immunity idols. In essence: Joe believes Mike has one, and he's making sure his suspicions are known.

Learn more about the Healers tribe in "First One Out," our preseason podcast:

In the preseason, Joe and Mike had previously sized each other up as follows:

Joe Mena (Probation Officer, Healers Tribe): I call him David 2.0. I think he knows the game, very social, very likable.

Mike Zahalsky (Urologist, Healers Tribe): I have not heard him speak a word until yesterday. But I think he's gonna be surprisingly more ferocious than people think.

Based on the clip, it sounds like both men were right about each other, to a point: Mike admits to gathering scraps of material ("ropes from when we undid the bag with the bandanas"), a move famous fake idol builder David Wright from Millennials vs. Gen X would surely approve, while Joe brings a degree of ferocity to the way he brings his suspicions to bear upon Mike. For his part, the Florida-based urologist doesn't seem like he's having it: "I don't trust Joe for one second. He's pulled me aside to have man-to-man talks with me, and to essentially bully me into telling him that I went looking for the immunity idol."

Mike brings up "bullying," and in the preseason, he was vocal that "there are some lines you can never cross. Like, people who are bullies, or people who are just mean for the sake of being mean. Those people, no matter whose alliance they're in, have to be eliminated immediately." Did Joe just cross that line in Mike's eyes? We'll find out when Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers gets officially underway. If you can't wait for the premiere to begin, you can catch the first six minutes of the episode over here.
