Winter is here for Game of Thrones — and The Bachelorette

ABC borrowed a familiar setting from the hit HBO fantasy series when the reality franchise followed Rachel Lindsay to northern Spain.

The setting for her one-on-one date with Eric Bigger took the pair to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, which Game of Thrones fans should recognize as one of the real-life locations for Dragonstone, home to Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). Daenerys made her anticipated return to Dragonstone on the season seven premiere of Game of Thrones.

While watching The Bachelorette, Lindsay took to Twitter to say "Jon Snow exited stage left" for their date. (Thrones had already wrapped filming by the time Bachelorette blew into town.)

On Aug. 7, Bachelor Nation will watch the first black Bachelorette wrap her journey to find love in Rioja, the same region in which part of GOT's season seven takes place. While Thrones filmed more than usual in Belfast, Ireland, this season, Nathalie Emmanuel (who plays Missandei) told The Hollywood Reporter that the cast still filmed part of Westeros in Spanish cities. Meaning, the Basque Country location could serve as the backdrop for Jon Snow and Daenerys' highly anticipated meeting.

The first of Lindsay's two-part finale in Europe aired Monday, July 24, when the 32-year-old lawyer kicked off her Fantasy Suite week with a one-on-one date with Bigger, followed by a date spent stomping grapes and tasting wine at a Rioja vineyard with Peter Kraus. Typically on ABC's Bachelor franchise, the lead has the opportunity to invite his or her final three suitors into a private room for an off-camera, overnight date. Lindsay narrowed down her diverse group of 31 contestants to Kraus, 31, a business owner from Madison, Wisconsin; Bigger, 29, a personal trainer from Los Angeles; and Bryan Abosolo, 37, a chiropractor from Miami, Florida.

"We couldn't be happier in our partnership with The Bachelorette as we take America on a romantic journey through Rioja," Ricardo Aguiriano San Vicente, director of marketing and communications for Rioja, said in a statement.

This is the second time Lindsay has experienced the franchise's most intimate week. The Dallas native spent the night with Bachelor season 21 star Nick Viall in Finland as one of his final three contestants, before the Bachelor broke up with her, ultimately sending her on her current journey.

When the show returns in two weeks, The Bachelorette picks back up in Rioja, where fans will watch the rest of Lindsay's fantasy date with Kraus, her full date with Abasolo and her impending engagement. Lindsay confirmed ahead of the season premiere that she is in fact engaged, and says she and her fiance are "happy" and "that's all that really matters," amidst criticism of her potential final pick.
