Bill tries to delay webcasters’ due date
Two U.S. representatives introduced a bill Thursday night as a final attempt to postpone the Sunday due date for Internet radio webcasters and simulcasters to begin paying new royalty rates set by the Copyright Royalty Board for sound recordings.

Jones creates black heritage prod’n music
Quincy Jones is adding his special touch to a production music library. The composer for such films as "In Cold Blood" and "The Color Purple" is producing a heritage black music series for Extreme Music to license for film, television and commercial use.

UMPG, Eminem sign deal
