Creative Arts Emmys: 'Game of Thrones' Wins Fourth-Consecutive Visual Effects Honor


HBO’s Game of Thrones won its fourth consecutive Emmy for outstanding special visual effects, Saturday at the Creative Arts Emmys.

It topped a field that includes Black Sails, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Flash and Vikings.

On the strength of Game of Thrones' “The Dance of the Dragons” episode, Emmys in VFX were awarded to Joe Bauer, VFX supervisor; Steve Kullback, VFX producer; Adam Chazen, VFX associate producer; Jabbar Raisani, VFX plate supervisor; Eric Carney, VFX previs lead; Stuart Brisdon, special effects supervisor; Derek Spears, lead CG supervisor; James Kinngs, lead animator; and Matthew Rouleau, CG supervisor.
