Ludwig Goransson won an Emmy on Saturday for the score of The Mandalorian, meaning he is now one Tony win away from achieving EGOT status.

The composer previously earned an Oscar for the score of Black Panther. He also won three Grammys in 2019 for the Black Panther score, in addition to song of the year and record of the year for Childish Gambino's This Is America.

Jon Favreau's Disney+ series The Mandalorian has had a strong showing this week during the virtual Creative Arts Emmys presentations, having (so far) also won trophies for cinematography, production design, sound editing and mixing. The series was nominated for a total of 15 Emmys.
