Creative Arts Emmys: 'Viceland at the Women's March' Producer on Win: "Pink Always Trumps Orange"

The program took home the award for outstanding shortform nonfiction or reality series.

"Pink will always trump orange," asserted Viceland at The Women's March executive producer Meghan Kirsch upon accepting the Emmy for outstanding short form nonfiction or reality series.

Backstage, she described why the team wanted to go to Washington for the Jan. 21 Women's March — to have conversations with women.

"We also went for Inauguration Day," Kirsch said. "This was something that we wanted to be a part of — go down and talk to people. And we got some really powerful stuff."

The program beat out behind-the-scenes looks at Saturday Night Live's production and Jay Leno's Garage.
