NBCUniversal Exec John Wallace Named Deluxe President; Ian Trombley Assumes His Role At NBCUni
John Wallace, who has held the role of president of operations and technical services at NBCUniversal, has been named president and CEO of Deluxe Entertainment Services. Also on Monday, NBCUniversal announced that its executive vp of television operations Ian Trombley has been promoted to assume Wallace's role.
Wallace will officially join Deluxe in early September, replacing Deluxe’s current president and CEO David Kassler, who will remain with the company during the transition. During the next five weeks, Trombley will work alongside Wallace at NBCUniversal.
A 27-year veteran at NBCUniversal, Wallace has been leading the company's operations and technical services including studio, postproduction and distribution globally. He was also responsible for global security, business services and the management of NBCUniversal's real estate portfolio, which includes facilities at Rockefeller Center in New York, Central St. Giles in London and Universal City in Universal City, Calif. Previously, Wallace was president of the NBC-owned television stations group.
In his executive vp role, Trombley was responsible for operations and engineering for 30 Rock studios, facilities and the on-air and nonlinear origination for the company’s networks. He led the rebuild of 30 Rock studios 6A, 6B and 8G, the design and construction of the Studio Production Gallery and control rooms, and the renovation of over one million square feet of NBCUniversal’s 30 Rockefeller headquarters. In his new role, Trombley wil report to NBCUniversal executive vp Adam Miller.
"It has been a true honor and pleasure to lead Deluxe during this extraordinary time of transformation and expansion so it is with regret that I am leaving this position for unrelated personal and family reasons," said Kassler in a statement. "As the industry moves more towards digital technology, Deluxe is in an ideal position to continue to capitalize on this rapid innovation."
