Kaleidescape, the maker of high-end movie players and servers for the home, has reached an agreement with Twentieth Century Fox to license new releases and catalog titles of movies and television series for digital download and playback on its movie players.

“We believe in supporting secure and premium platforms and services, and as we recently announced our upcoming slate being available on 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range, we are excited to share that our titles will be available on Kaleidescape’s new 4K Ultra HD movie player,” Danny Kaye, executive vp, global research & tech strategy, Fox Innovation Lab and Fox Home Entertainment, said Monday in a statement.

With the addition of this new content, Kaleidescape has now licensed over 11,000 movies and over 2,000 TV series from Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, NBCUniversal, The Walt Disney Studios and now Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment for the Kaleidescape Movie Store. Kaleidescape also has licensed Ultra HD titles with HDR from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Ultra HD titles from The Orchard, K2 Communications and Moving Art.

The license agreement with Fox includes the X-Men and Die Hard franchises; DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Shrek; classics such as The Sound of Music; and TV series including Homeland and Modern Family.
