Caroline Baron, Kokayi Ampah and Marino Pascal will receive honorary awards at the second annual Location Managers Guild of America Awards on March 7 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to veteran location manager Ampah, whose credits include The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby (one of six projects he managed for Clint Eastwood) and Amistad, his second film with Steven Spielberg.

Receiving the Humanitarian Award is Oscar-nominated producer Baron (Capote), who founded FilmAid to promote awareness of social issues by gathering crowds for entertainment and additionally screening educational films. Motivated by the surge of refugees from Kosovo migrating to camps in Macedonia, FilmAid also makes documentaries with local talent, and includes those affected in the creation and distribution of these films.

Location scout Pascal, creator of the online forum Locolist, will take home the Trailblazer Award. Locolist is an archival forum for location professionals, and he is “one of several driving forces that encouraged the growth of the Location Managers Guild of America.”
