Postproduction technology developer Digital Vision has been acquired by its management team: Kelvin Bolah, Greg Holland and Claes Westerlund. It was acquired from Swedish parent company Image Systems for 6.1 million SEK (roughly $800,000).
Bolah will serve as CEO, while Holland takes the role of worldwide vp of sales and Westerlund becomes worldwide vp of operations. According to the announcement, the entire Digital Vision team will remain with the company, as will its offices in London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, New York and Sweden.
According to Bolah, the MBO gives Digital Vision an investment to accelerate its R&D and engineering efforts.
It’s current products include the Nucoda color grading system, Phoenix film restoration software, Golden Eye 4 archive scanner, Bifrost archive bridge and Thor 4K real-time image processing PCIe card.
