Ve Neill, Yolanda Toussieng Honored by Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists

Make-up artist Ve Neill and hair stylist Yolanda Toussieng, both Oscar and Emmy winners with credits including Mrs. Doubtfire, will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the annual Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards, which will be handed out Feb. 20 at Paramount Studios Theatre.

Neill – who won Oscars for Mrs. Doubtfire, Ed Wood and Beetlejuice – is the first female make-up artist to win an Oscar and will be the first female make-up artist to receive the Guild’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Her credits include The Hunger Games, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films.

Toussieng is the first hair stylist to win an Oscar, and she has won for Mrs. Doubtfire and Ed Wood. Her credits include Edward Scissorhands, Oz The Great and Powerful and Batman Returns.

Both also received Daytime Emmys for Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.

“The bodies of work of Ve Neill and Yolanda Toussieng are legendary, and we are proud to rank them among the best in the history of our profession,” said Susan Cabral-Ebert, President of IATSE Local 706.
