NEW YORK (AP) — Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) has a book deal for a memoir that will cover his career from "Saturday Night Live" to his years in Washington.

Twelve, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, told The Associated Press on Thursday that the book is scheduled for 2017 and is currently untitled.

Franken already has written a handful of best-selling political-humor books, including Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot and Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right.

He has joked that the new book would be a "psychological thriller" about his experiences in the Senate.

Financial terms weren't disclosed. Franken is repped by Washington attorney Robert Barnett, whose other clients include President Barack Obama and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).
