ABC has given the green light to “No Ordinary Family,” a drama pilot from “Dirty Sexy Money” executive producers Greg Berlanti and Jon Feldman, and “Freshman,” a comedy pilot from “How I Met Your Mother” exec producer Greg Malins and Arianna Huffington.
Additionally, ABC has ordered an untitled multicamera comedy pilot from writers-executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman (“Just Shoot Me!”) and ABC Studios, about adult siblings dealing with their parent’s recent divorce.
“Family,” from ABC Studios and Berlanti TV, centers on a typical American family whose members have special abilities.
Feldman and Berlanti co-wrote the script and are executive producing with former ABC drama head Morgan Wandell, who runs Berlanti TV.
This marks the second pilot order for Feldman, who also co-penned the ABC/ABC Studios recently picked up drama “True Blue,” a soap set in a homicide squad.
Berlanti has been a staple at ABC for the past five years and executive produces the network’s drama “Brothers & Sisters.”
The multicamera “Freshman,” from 20th TV, centers on the friendship of three freshmen members of Congress — two men and a woman — who live together in D.C.
Malins wrote the script, which is inspired by real-life Washington figures sharing living quarters, and is exec producing with Huffington.
The project was set up at ABC in September with a premium script commitment.
