Todd Fedell has been named head of off-air advertising at the NBC Agency, where he will be responsible for overseeing all print and digital advertising for East Coast and West Coast clients.
Fedell, who was principal/creative director at Denver-based Peloton Design, will serve as senior vp off-air advertising, responsible for such divisions as corporate, NBC News, NBC Entertainment, sales, international distribution and all the divisions served by the NBC Agency. He reports to John Miller, chief marketing officer at NBC Universal Television Group.
“Todd is a unique blend of talents,” Miller said. “He’s a great marketer, he has tremendous creative vitality and design taste, and he has impressive leadership skills. I have every confidence he will keep the NBC Agency off-air team a leader in the area of print and digital advertising.”
Fedell has 15 years of creative experience and nine years of leadership in the entertainment industry. He launched Peloton — an agency that specializes in branding, advertising and online materials for primarily cable network clients — in January 2005.
From 2001-04, he was vp and creative director at USA Network in New York. There, he handled the executive leadership and creative development of the off-air department. Fedell is said to have taken a hands-on approach in helping restructure the department and is credited with helping rejuvenate the network’s brand.
Before that, he was vp and creative director at Cartoon Network in Atlanta from 1998-2001. At Cartoon, he managed the marketing division of the creative service department and oversaw consumer, sales and affiliate advertising, among other duties.
His honors include multiple BDA/Promax awards as well as the New York Art Directors Silver Award.
