— Taissa Farmiga, 16, who makes her debut in sister Vera’s indie Higher Ground, has signed with ICM, joining young stars Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Josh Hutcherson. The Hollywood Reporter’s review of Ground, which premiered at January’s Sundance Film Festival, praised the younger Farmiga for a strong performance in the family drama. She is managed by Dara Gordon at Authentic Talent and Literary Management.
— U.K.-based stand-up comedian Russell Howard, who will headline the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, has signed with WME. Last month, Howard sold out the 20,000-seat 02 Arena in London as part of an arena tour. Howard also is involved in two BBC shows: he is the lead writer and star of Russell Howard’s Good Newsand a regular contributor to Mock the Week.
— Connor Jessup, star of TNT’s sci-fi drama Falling Skies, has signed with UTA. His previous credits include The Saddle Club, a children’s television series that followed the lives of teenage girls competing in equestrian competitions. He is managed by Julie Abrams of DreamScope Entertainment.
