HONG KONG — Calling him a “pioneer” who helped grow action-adventure channel AXN Asia, parent company SPE Networks Asia on Wednesday promoted Ang Hui Keng to senior vp.
Ang joined SPE 10 years ago and was instrumental in its expansion from a single-channel to six channel brands, including AXN — now available in more than 82 million households across 23 countries — Animax, AXN Beyond, Sony Entertainment Television, and two on-demand channels: PIX and PIX Thriller.
Formerly vp of finance, distribution and operations, Ang “spent many years leading different critical areas that helped to drive many of our expansion plans and increase the revenue of the networks, enabling the robust growth of the company,” SPE Networks general manager Ricky Ow said.
