TURIN, Italy — Italian antitrust regulators said Wednesday that they are investigating allegations that Italia 1, the channel operated by broadcast giant Mediaset, knowingly aired inaccurate advertising that asked viewers to call a special toll number without making the associated costs clear. As a fast-track investigation, a ruling on the case is expected within 90 days.
