Angela Ahrendts, the sole female executive at Apple, took home a whopping $73.3 million paycheck in 2014, far surpassing her fellow male execs on the earnings scale according to a proxy statement posted on the Securities and Exchange Commission website on Thursday.
The senior vice president of Apple’s retail and online stores joined the company on May 1, 2014 and earned $70 million in stock awards last year. Apple CEO — Ahrendts’ boss — Tim Cook doubled his salary in 2014 to $9.2 million, trailing behind Ahrendts’ paycheck by a huge $64 million.
Ahrehdts previously served as Burberry’s CEO in the U.K. and held unvested equity with the company valued at $37 million. When the female exec left Burberry for Apple, she signed on with a $412,000 salary, $500,000 hiring bonus and $1.6 million in non-equity incentives compensation.
Apple also released the earnings of current execs in the proxy statement, which disclosed Luca Maestri‘s $14 million, Peter Oppenheimer‘s $4.5 million, Eddy Cue‘s $24.4 million and Jeff Williams‘ $24.4 million earnings.
