SYDNEY — Australian Producers Guild, the Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA), has rebranded to the simpler nomenclature of Screen Producers Australia (SPA), announced ahead of the organization’s annual three-day conference that takes place in Melbourne on Tuesday.
“The rebrand includes a new name, brand mark and website and is designed to more accurately reflect its role as the leading professional organization in Australia supporting film, television, interactive and games production businesses and its campaign for a healthy commercial industry,” SPA executive director Matthew Deaner said.

Member research was conducted when Deaner took on the role last year to help shape the guild’s strategic priorities to better support members’ business interests, create commercial opportunities and supply expertise to these businesses. “The name change and rebrand accurately reflect this strategy and the evolution of who we have become, what our members do and what we represent,” Deaner added.
Screen Producers Australia will continue to negotiate the industry’s benchmark industrial agreements and commercial arrangements on behalf of its members and will continue to work across industrial affairs, commercial relations, government policy and business alliances locally and globally.
