Bob Barker, the longtime host of CBS’ “The Price Is Right,” will receive the ICG President’s Award from the ICG Publicists.
Barker, who recently announced his retirement from the daytime game show in June, will be feted Feb. 7 at the publicists’ 44th annual awards luncheon at the Beverly Hilton.
“Throughout his career, Bob has recognized the importance of creating awareness for the shows he has hosted as well as for the many causes he supports,” awards committee chairman Henri Bollinger said. “His efforts to bring attention to the exploitation of animals in entertainment and commerce have had a great impact nationally and internationally.”
Barker has been a TV game show host for 50 consecutive years. He has received 17 Emmys and a lifetime achievement award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
