“My Boys” has been renewed for a fourth season.
TBS handed out the nine-episode order to the quirky comedy starring Jordana Spiro on Friday. Spiro plays a 20-something sports columnist in Chicago hanging out with a predominantly male group of friends.
The series, from creator Betsy Thomas, Sony TV and Pariah, is slated to launch its fourth season in 2010.
” ‘My Boys’ has consistently grown its audience of young adults through a combination of funny, smartly written scripts, high-quality production and an enormously talented cast,” said TBS and TNT’s programming chief Michael Wright.
In its second season, “Boys” grew 22% among adults 18-34. Earlier this year, season three garnered another 11% growth in the 18-34 demo.
Thomas, Gavin Polone and Jamie Tarses are the show’s exec producers.
