CAA has signed Bao Nguyen, the filmmaker behind the Sundance documentary Be Water.
Nguyen, whose non-fiction work has been featured in The New York Times and on Vice and HBO, made his feature directorial debut with Live From New York, which chronicled Saturday Night Live‘s 40-year history and cultural impact.
Be Water, which competed for the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is set to air June 7 on ESPN, uses archival footage to dive into the career and cult of the late legendary movie star Bruce Lee.
Nguyen continues to be repped by Mosaic and attorney Chuong Bui at Counsel for Creators.
