CAA’s Rick Lefitz has left the agency for Rain Management Group.
Lefitz, who worked in CAA’s TV department for the past 13 years, joins Rain as a partner effective Dec. 1, working with current RMG partners Jonathan Baruch, Anne Damato and Rob Wolken.
At CAA, Lefitz repped writers and directors including Blue Bloods’ David Barrett and Siobhan Byrne O’Connor, Big Bang Theory’s Eric Kaplan, Mike Uppendahl (Fargo, American Horror Story), Steven Kane (The Last Ship), Elizabeth Davis Beall (Scorpion), Rick Cleveland (Man in the High Castle), John Polson (Elementary), Nick Copus (Salem) and Trey Callaway (Rush Hour).
“I’m incredibly proud of the time I’ve spent as an agent,” said Lefitz. “My colleagues at CAA have been so supportive of me and together we’ve done inspired work on behalf of our talented artists. However, after the birth of my daughter last year, I realized that I wanted to make a change and focus strictly on my client business. Management in the literary space is growing quickly and I’ve been incredibly impressed with RMG and how they’ve approached their business with a client-first focus. They were a natural fit for me and my clients and I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career.”
Added RMG partners Baruch, Damato, and Wolken: “We are excited to partner with Rick Lefitz as we continue to expand Rain Management Group. He brings years of industry experience, excellent relationships, and a passion for his clients’ interests.”
RMG clients include Blue Bloods star Donnie Wahlberg, The Blacklist‘s Oded Fehr and American Crime writer Keith Huff.
