More Key Art Award information
“The Dark Knight” earned 16 nominations, the most for any film, for The Hollywood Reporter’s 38th annual Key Art Awards. “Wall-E,” which garnered 15 noms, just missed sharing the top spot with “Knight.”
Ignition leads all agencies with 41 noms, while Warner Bros., Disney and Lionsgate each had very strong studio showings.
“Tropic Thunder,” with 10 noms, came in at No. 3, and “Iron Man,” with 7 noms, rounded out the top four films receiving multiple noms.
Winners will be announced June 12 during an awards ceremony at the Geffen Contemporary at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
“The Hollywood Reporter is delighted with the level of submissions and once again the quality of work is superb,” said THR publisher Eric Mika. “The entirely revamped awards show at the MOCA is more in tune to celebrating a great community with plush lounge spaces and incredible food provided by Patina that this year’s event will be an evening not to be missed.”
This year, finalists in over 60 categories submitted digital entries and were judged online. A full list of finalists can be found at KeyArtAward.com.
