Fusion 2007: The Fifth Annual Los Angeles LGBT People of Color Film Festival, organized by Outfest, will kick off Nov. 30 with an Opening Night Gala shorts program. The program will include the Outfest award-winning short “Pariah” and the the world premiere of “El Primo.”
The three-day event, to be held at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, will conclude with the Los Angeles premiere of director Gwendolen Cates’ “Water Flowing Together,” a docu about the life of gay New York City Ballet principal dancer Jock Soto.
On Dec. 1, the fest the love story “Rome and Juliet,” the Peruvian film “In the Fire,” and “Daughters of Chiquita” from Brazil. The Outfest Legacy Project will screen Sergio Toledo’s “Vera.” Other titles to play the fest include Amber Sharp’s “Don’t Go” and Mike Ruiz’s “Starrbooty,” starring RuPaul.
