TV production powerhouse Endemol Shine Group said Wednesday that, after 12 years with the company, CFO Edwin van Es will be exiting this summer.
The Endemol veteran helped see the business through big changes and challenges, most recently working over the past year on the task of integrating Endemol, 21st Century Fox’s Shine and Core Media in the combination that created the TV production giant in December 2014.
The departure is the latest at the company. Most recently, president Tim Hincks said he would be leaving the production house behind Big Brother, Broadchurch, Humans and The Fall, among others.
Last year, a string of executives left Endemol Shine, including chief creative officer David Flynn and international co-chief executive Gary Carter.
“Time has been allowed to ensure there will be a smooth transition, and further announcements will follow in due course as to his replacement in the role,” a spokesperson said about the CFO’s departure.
Said van Es: “It’s been an incredible 12 years with Endemol and latterly with Endemol Shine. I have decided that I can leave later this year, safe in the knowledge that the company is now set up to go from strength to strength.”
Said Endemol Shine Group CEO Sophie Turner Laing: “Edwin’s decision to take some time for a break before deciding his next move after years of such extraordinary hard work is completely understandable. I want to express my enormous gratitude for all his brilliant and tireless efforts. He has been an absolutely invaluable support to me, his team and to the business as a whole.”
