In yet another corporate reshuffling at TV production giant Endemol Shine, Laurens Drillich, currently CEO of Endemol Shine Netherlands, has been named the new president of the group’s Latino operations, based in Miami.
Drillich will be exchanging Dutch dikes for the Miami heat in early 2016 when he takes over at Endemol Shine Latino. He will oversee the company’s hub for its operations across Latin America and the Hispanic U.S. market. Endemol Shine has operations across the region, including in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Chile. Drillich will report directly to Endemol Shine North America co-chairmen and co-CEOs, Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin.
“These are markets that are key to the continued growth and diversification of our global business, and it’s essential that we have world-class leadership in place for each,” said Endemol Shine Group CEO Sophie Turner Laing in announcing Drillich’s appointment.
Laurens is familiar with the Latino market, having previously overseen Endemol’s business in both the Hispanic U.S. and Mexican markets. He will be joined by Martin Kweller, who will become the new creative director for Endemol Shine Latino while keeping his day jobs as operations director for Latin America and chairman and CEO of Endemol Shine Argentina. Endemol Shine Latino’s co-executive vps, Daniel Rodriguez and Mauricio Piccone, will remain in their current roles, overseeing, respectively, sales and programming initiatives.
Back in the Netherlands, Drillich will be replaced by Boudewijn Beusmans, currently group commercial officer of Endemol Shine, and former managing director of creative operations Iris Boelhouwer, who will become joint CEOs of Endemol Shine Netherlands. Boelhouwer will focus on creative development — expanding the company’s portfolio of formats and programming — while Beusmans will concentrate on commercial growth, innovation and diversification at the Dutch division.
Endemol Shine said it would soon announce a replacement for Beusmans as group commercial officer.
