Ed Steinberg has been named vp licensing and label relations at Retail Entertainment Design, where he will oversee the acquisition and licensing of content for worldwide multiplatform distribution. Steinberg founded Rockamerica in 1979 and helmed the company until its acquisition by RED in 2005. Before this appointment, Steinberg was consulting for RED and Rockamerica in media relations and licensing.
Tom Overton has joined Keep Me Posted, a FotoKem company, to chair the da Vinci 2K Plus color-timing suite. A 20-year industry veteran, Overton’s credits include “Judging Amy” and “The Shield.”
Robert Langer has been named senior vp and CFO at Disney Consumer Products, where he will be responsible for all finance and accounting functions for DCP and its operating companies worldwide. Langer was CFO of segment operations at the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts division. He joined Disney in 1999 as director of business development, Global Licensing.
Megan Costello has been appointed vp research at TV Guide Channel, where she will oversee all primary research, ratings and market analyses and viewer testing for the network’s programming. Costello joins TV Guide from CBS Television Distribution, where she also served as vp research.
Emily Kimmel has been named director of legal affairs and arbitration at the Producers Guild of America. Kimmel, who was an associate with Morgan Lews and Bockius’ Los Angeles Labor Practice Group, primarily will be responsible for the PGA’s credits and awards arbitration processes.
Stephen Rockabrand has been appointed president of distribution and marketing at Hill & Brand Entertainment. The 20-year marketing industry veteran will oversee the direction of sales, marketing and business activities for the company. Rockabrand has held executive positions at the New York Times, Paramount Pictures and TVN Entertainment Corp.
Don Orris has been upped to regional vp at Ticketmaster’s West region, where he will oversee all aspects of the business operations in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon and New Mexico. Orris, who has been with the company since 1988, has served in a variety of management positions in Ticketmaster’s Pittsburgh, Denver and Dallas locations.
Taylor Bayouth has been named director of interactive media at Access 360 Media. Bayouth will be responsible for managing the creation and implementation of all interactive and mobile initiatives for the company’s retail and ad partner programs. He was technical director of Fidelity Assets, a search-engine marketing service tailored for real estate professionals. He also founded two social networking sites, ShoutPost.com and tBlog.com.
Leeann Baker has been promoted to account executive, Midwest region, at Sony Pictures Television, where she will oversee syndication sales efforts for the network. Baker most recently was a sales coordinator, southern region, for SPT in Atlanta.
Sandra Yost Gehring has been appointed GM at “The Daily Buzz,” by ACME Communications. Yost most recently served as corporate vp Emmis Television. She also served as vp marketing and brand development at Frank & Magid Associates.
