Veteran communications executives Eric Green and Sunny Jenkins have partnered with marketing and creative guru Wally Hasselbring to launch a new brand agency.
They’re calling the firm The Right Now and duties will be split like this: Green is overseeing entertainment, Jenkins is leading the brand division and Hasselbring is managing creative and digital. The leadership team for the bicoastal agency also includes execs Jessel Taank and Britt Joe.
Among the clients being serviced are lifestyle, entertainment and talent brands “with fully integrated, creative strategies that are grounded in data and proven with results,” per the company. The roster of clients includes UGG, Koolaburra by UGG, Kendra Scott, Erewhon Markets, Billabong, the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles, L’Couture Collections, HBO Max, Fox Entertainment’s streaming service Tubi, Thunder Studios, writers Bradley Hope and Tom Wright’s production company Project Brazen, and true crime app CrimeDoor, among others.
The Right Now has formed a strategic partnership with Sam Srinivasan’s Sechel Public Relations to round out its business in the talent and entertainment space. Sechel’s clients include Phoebe Robinson, Yvonne Orji, Ronny Chieng, Michael Showalter, Natasha Rothwell, Paul Scheer, production companies Semi-Formal and Push It Prods., among others.
Jenkins segued to co-founding The Right Now after serving as North American practice lead at BCW Global, overseeing BCW Entertainment, formerly BWR Public Relations. Prior to that role, she had a long tenure at HL Group, in both its New York and Los Angeles offices. Jenkins is a founding member of I am voter., a nonpartisan organization aimed at increasing voting and civic engagement.
Green, also an alum of BWR, served as president of that firm where he rose through the ranks, first starting as an assistant in the TV department. He eventually was promoted to lead that department and eventually the entire company for which he worked across all businesses including filmed content, brand and talent departments. He has worked with WarnerMedia’s TNT and TBS, FX, Showtime, BBC America, National Geographic and IFC Networks.
Hasselbring is a graphic designer turned MBA and international marketing executive. After 10 years in business-to-business marketing working with such companies as Band-Aid, PepsiCo, Chobani and L’Oreal, he segued to consumer work at upstart Pray.com. He then launched wally.studio, an independent consultancy specializing in creative direction, graphic design and marketing management.
Taank joins with 15 years of experience in strategic marketing and communications in fashion, luxury, technology, entertainment, art, design, beauty, hospitality and lifestyle. Previously, she served as director of PR at Westfield. Prior to that, Taank worked for HL Group, Michael Kors and Karla Otto.
Joe joins The Right Now with 15 years of talent relations experience. She was most recently a vp at HL Group where she oversaw the VIP relations. Prior to HL, she led entertainment relations at BCBG Max Azria Group, a company she worked for more than 10 years.
