The Invisible Boy, an Italian children’s film from director Gabriele Salvatores (I’m Not Scared) has won this year’s European Film Award’s Young Audience Award.
The honor goes to the best European film of the year, as voted on by young movie goers across Europe. This year, juries of cinema fans aged 12-14 years old in 25 European cities voted on the prize. Stefano Sardo, one of the film’s screenwriters, accepted the prize on behalf of the filmmakers at a ceremony in Germany.
The Invisible Boy follows a shy 13-year-old boy with few friends who discovers his new Halloweed costume makes him invisible. Ludovico Girardello stars alongside Valeria Golino, Fabrizio Bentivoglio and Christo Jivkov.
