ENGAGEMENTS: Rowe-Hartwick: Scott Rowe, senior vp worldwide communications for the Warner Bros. Television Group, proposed to esthetician Stasi Hartwick on Dec. 23 in Punta de Mita, Mexico at the Punta Vista Signature Residences. Rowe asked his daughters Taylor and Annabelle for their blessing before proposing to his girlfriend of two years.

WME agent Andrew Finkelstein and Fox Searchlight coordinator Lauren Hochberg became engaged Dec. 18 in Kauai, Hawaii.

Singer John Legend became engaged to model Chrissy Teigen during a holiday vacation in the Maldives.

Country music icon Wynonna Judd and musician Cactus Moser became engaged on Dec. 24. They are touring together.

WEDDINGS

The Descendants actress Judy Greer married Dean Johnsen, co-executive producer for HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher, on Dec. 17. The pair exchanged vows at the Los Angeles Athletic Club before 200 guests, including Bill Maher, Rashida Jones and three of Greer’s co-stars on her short-lived CBS comedy Mad Love — Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke and Tyler Labine.

Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir wed lawyer Victor Voronov Dec. 31 in a civil ceremony in New York. The pair honeymooned in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and will relocate to New York.

BABIES

Robert De Niro and his wife, Grace Hightower De Niro, welcomed daughter Helen Grace via surrogate. It is their second child together.

Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart welcomed second daughter Georgia Geraldine on Dec. 28.

The Descendants and House sound effects editor and designer Luis Galdames and his wife, reality and docu producer Julieann Pavesi, welcomed son Agustin Emile Jan. 1 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

CONGRATS

NBCUniversal’s Media Works named Stacy Brady GM news field and production operations; Ian Trombley GM East Coast television & on-air operations; Jeff Mayzurk GM West Coast technical operations; and Marc Siry senior vp media products and advanced technology Dec. 29.

Relativity Media hired Liz Jones as senior vp digital marketing Dec. 30.

Boyz II Men will be honored Jan. 5 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In October, the Grammy-winning R&B group, who have sold 60 million albums in their career, released their
latest album, Twenty, a collection of new originals and rerecorded classics, to acclaim. It entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 20. The dedication caps a busy stretch for the trio, who made an appearance in the Justin Bieber movie Never Say Never. The ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. at 7060 Hollywood Blvd.

Alberto Barbera, the head of the Italian film archives, will return to his former post as artistic director of the Venice Film Festival.

DEATHS

Marion Segal Freed, a producer, editor, screenwriter and the former wife of actor George Segal, died Dec. 22 at her Century City home after a long illness. She was 77.

Edward Redstone, the younger brother of media titan Sumner Redstone and a onetime partner in National Amusements, the family’s exhibition business, died Dec. 23 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was 83.

Harry Kullijian, actress Carol Channing’s husband, died Dec. 26 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was 91. The couple, junior high school sweethearts, married in 2003.

Joe Bodolai, a former Saturday Night Live staff writer who co-wrote the first draft of the 1992 film Wayne’s World, was found dead Dec. 26 in a Los Angeles hotel of an apparent suicide. He was 63.

Bob Anderson, an Olympic fencer and stunt performer who wielded Darth Vader’s light saber in the original Star War strilogy, died Jan. 1 in the U.K. He was 89.
