@NBCLA/TwitterThe Hollywood and Highland Metro station was shut down after two suspicious and unattended packages were found, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Sgt. Pauline Panis told THR that the packages forced an immediate evacuation of the surrounding area, and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department bomb squad was sent to the scene. Streets, including Hollywood Blvd., were closed to traffic near the station.

Both north and southbound trains were reverted and police shut down both sides of Hollywood Boulevard, according to ABC 7. The news station also confirmed shortly after 5 p.m. that both bags have been cleared and were stuffed with clothing.

Metro tweeted at 5:28 p.m. that regular train service at the station has resumed, and the red line is now running as usual. All streets in the area have reopened for traffic.
